I absolutely love a good mom and pup session. There's just something about the bond that they share that's just magical.
As a single, childfree mom of two dogs, I understand. They are my only children and my every waking moment involves them. Whether I want it to or not. lol
I did a photo shoot with my dog a few years ago and it was one of the most fun things I've ever done. And I still look at the photos and fall in love. I highly recommend it...and not just because I do it for a job.
This is Harley and his momma. We had such a great time playing at Veteran's Park in Tulsa together.
Ya know, you are probably right. Not many dogs do just sit for a photo. Even the well-trained ones are in an unfamiliar location and situation and typically don't just sit and stay while I do the photos.
But how boring would that be?? I WANT them to misbehave a little, move around a little, show their personality a little. It's what makes the session magic!
I have hot dogs that will typically get them to look in my direction when I need them to. Other than that, I let them be dogs. I let them be bad. :) If you don't have the perfectly trained dog or if they have a little anxiety or doggy ADHD, that's ok! I have my ways around all that.
With a Snoots photo session, I can help plan the whole thing. If you want photos but have no clue other than that, leave it up to me.
You can see my calendar HERE and we'll start with when best works for you. I shoot year round, though summer and fall are typically the most popular seasons for dog photography. My favorite time of day to take photos is in the evenings, but I'm open late morning through sunset. So it's really up to you and your schedule.
If you're doing a full session (the longer, more variety one) we can go to multiple locations. The simple session is just one location. A lot of people do in studio or at their home, and then for a full, venture outdoors to a park or pretty location like that. I also take photos downtown Tulsa a lot as well.
We will talk about your style, what you're looking for, and any restrictions we may have, and that will help me decide on the perfect location.
I'll help with that too! Depending on where we shoot, what time of year it is, and what your general vibe is, I'll help you pick the best clothing for you and your family. I always suggest sending me photos of options and I can help design the look. I can also create mood boards of what we're going for if you're a more visual person.
Either way, I got you!
Let me know if you have questions and get ready for the cutest photos of your dog (and yourself) ever!
